Intertextuality of The Lion King and Hamlet

Simba embodies Shakespeares Hamlet; he is the son of the King and just heir to the throne. The King of the Pridelands and ruler of Pride Rock, Mufasa, parallels Hamlet Senior, king of Denmark a nd ruler of Elsinore, who is killed by the u! ncle figure.
