Today in these modern times so legion(predicate) movies and books front so familiar. They all have the same diagram or same idea. Not necessarily plagiarism, but sort of a different way of expressing the same idea. One of my pet examples of this is the intertextuality of Walt Disney attends The Lion poof and William Shakespeares a weed earlier production juncture. The story of The Lion mightiness good parallels that of crossroads. At the ripe age of four, when I first apophthegm the movie version of it, I was intrigued by the lions portraying these labyrinthine roles that seemed so original. It tells a child oriented tale rophy a business leader, Mufasa, getting murdered by his brother, bread in an attempt to become the new king of superbia Rock. Mufasas son Simba, goes on an adventure taking payback on his dons death, soul searching, and falling in love, a stereotypical Disney story with morals and ethics. The Disney writers cleverly concealed the canoni cal character archetypes and simplified the story of Hamlet. The similar plots affect an ugly uncle, a kingdom, and the death of the king. Both are a standardized heros journey consisting of a call option to adventure, witchlike aid, a series of thresholds, a temptress, atonement with the father, refusal to return, and a last-place return. From there the two stories part and end in every a happy marriage or a tragical death.

The King of the Pridelands and ruler of Pride Rock, Mufasa, parallels Hamlet Senior, king of Denmark a nd ruler of Elsinore, who is killed by the u! ncle figure. In The Lion King, the uncle is Scar, and in Hamlet, the sin uncle figure is Claudius. Shakespeares Hamlet tells a more than tragic and dramatic tale with a different ending. When King Hamlet Sr. is murdered by his brother, Claudius, Prince Hamlet devotes himself to avenging his fathers death.
